Reading your roof: which wall gets the winter sun?
In our hemisphere the winter sun tracks low across the southern sky. A wall that faces roughly south soaks up that low-angle light all day; an east or west wall catches only a morning or afternoon slice; a north wall gets almost none.
Why it's the difference-maker
Orientation is the single biggest lever on how much free heat a Sophab collects. That's why our free assessment scores every wall of your house for sun exposure — and also checks whether there's room to build within your property lines, and whether trees stand in the way.
