We're seeking partners, communities and investors to scale Solar Passive Habitats across the Maritimes.
Twenty million buildings in Canada already exist and need to be decarbonized. Sophabulous makes that accessible with a repeatable, engineered, locally-fabricated Solar Passive Habitat — a construction model built to scale.
Host a pilot Sophab in your community or co-op and demonstrate low-carbon retrofits to your neighbours.
Property owners: temper and future-proof multi-unit residential buildings across the Maritimes.
Back a New Brunswick clean-tech company turning a proven arch design into a scalable product.
The Sophab Arch is a built thing — laminated hemlock ribs and polycarbonate glazing, on a home here in Fredericton, at solarium scale. The full-sized Solarship has not been built. It is engineered: a symmetric full-arch analysis under NBCC 2015 loads, a rib section calibrated to the span, and a costed takeoff. What it needs is a first site.
That is the opportunity, and it is the honest version of it. We're also seeking local community projects interested in applying solar-passive technology.
